| Org'/School | To Whom It May Concern: I am writing this reference at the request of James Burgess who is applying for acceptance into Colleges within the USA and it is my pleasure to present James to you. I have known James for a number of years now in my capacity as a baseball coach. Over the years I have observed James whilst as an opposition coach to be an extremely versatile and dedicated baseball player that excels in almost all aspects of the game. In 2023 I had the opportunity to be the head coach for the l 8U Aussie Drop Bears baseball team that toured Florida for several Perfect Games Tournaments held in Fort Myers & Auburndale. James was selected for this team and for the first time I had the pleasure of being his coach. James was an example of fine leadership setting a high standard of personal excellence both on and off the field. James saw success at the Perfect Game tournament in Fort Myers, making the all tournament hitters list. James primary position of catcher demonstrated to me his ability to show great presence and control with a level headedness of someone well past his years. Getting to know James personally whilst away from Australia on tour in the United States I found him to be a young man who has a friendly disposition with a high level of integrity and great manners. He always displayed a sense of personal and professional pride in all situations. Baseball has given me the opportunity compete against the best in Australia competing in national tournaments and the opportunity to travel,play and make friends in America several times, I’m looking to continue to challenge myself in pursuit of college baseball, the lessons that it can teach and the memories that will be made on the way.
